Bio:
In October of 2004 Scott decided to enter the Real Estate business very shortly after transplanting himself to the Frozen Tundra of Green Bay Wisconsin from the Sunshine state of Florida (Orlando) where he lived for nearly 16 years. “Everyone thought I was crazy to leave Orlando for Green Bay, but I knew what I was doing. I wanted to return to my Wisconsin roots, settle down in a place that is safe, affordable, and ever changing.” Scott split his childhood between central Florida where his mother was born and Milwaukee where his father was raised. When Scott was getting to the Jr. high and High school age, his parents moved the whole family to Crivitz, Wisconsin and eventually Oconto where he graduated high school in 1984. Since then his parents moved back up to Crivitz and two of his three siblings are raising their families right here in Green Bay. Scott is happy to be back near his family and is trying to make up for all those lost Christmas’ and birthdays he missed while living in Florida. “ I have to say that there is no place like home.”
Scott’s background in the hospitality and entertainment industry stems from many years working for places like Walt Disney, Universal Studios and even a year of exploration as an assistant cruise director for Princess Cruise Lines. So why Real Estate? “ I like the challenge of helping people achieve their goals. Showing houses is the easy part and the fun part, its everything else involved that really keeps me on my toes.” Scott’s outgoing personality and attention to detail are two key ingredients to his success as a good Realtor. That and an insatiable desire to grow in the real estate arena. Scott works hard to keep up with the changing trends in the market place and puts to good use the incredible resources of his company to accomplish his goals and the goals of his customers and clients.
Scott found his real estate niche’ early in his career managing REO properties for out of state banks. This unique insight to the ever growing world of foreclosures allows Scott to work with investors and buyers who like to find those really good opportunities and has the needed experience with big banks to make these deals happen.
Scott also served 4 years in the US Airforce and draws on that experience when it comes to helping military veterans use their VA Eligibility when buying a home. “I do have a soft spot in my heart for those who have served or are currently serving our country. I definitely think they deserve someone who can relate to them on that level and knows what it takes to get them qualified to buy a home.”
Now several years into his budding career, Scott joined the Micoley team in 2008 and has never been happier. “It took a few years of working with smaller companies to get my feet wet, but now that I’m here with this group of professionals, I’m just blown away by the way everyone works together, sharing ideas, and helping each other grow. I’ve been with some pretty great companies in my life so far, and I would put this company right up there with the best! “
In his free time Scott enjoys entertaining friends and family often throwing dinner parties and backyard bbqs. “I was actually a cook in the Airforce, so that has always been a passion of mine.” He still plans his travels when time allows, likes singing kareokee, playing his electronic piano, and is active in both his home church as well as a Christ care book study group made up of 16 senior ladies at a little Lutheran church in De Pere. “I’m here for awhile and plan to make the most of my career in Real Estate and my life in Green Bay.”.
